Larry Nassar case: USA doctor abused victim increases to 265 girls:
The amount of s*xual abuse victims of prior USA Gymnastics physician Larry Nassar has risen to 265, a Michigan judge has stated.
At least 65 victims are put to face Nassar, 54, in court at the last of three sentencing hearings, prosecutors say.
He was sentenced to 40 to 175 years in prison after almost 160 girls testified that he had molested them.
From the present hearing, the court is sitting to sentence for molesting patients at the rear room of Twistars volleyball team at Dimondale, Michigan.
The former Michigan State University (MSU) doctor pleaded guilty in November to 3 counts of first-degree criminal s*xual behavior against women for whom he had been supposed to be supplying medical attention.
At least among those s*xual assaults comprised a victim younger than 13. Two of the victims were mistreated at 15 or 16 years of age.
On Wednesday Judge Janice Cunningham advised the little court in Charlotte, Michigan: “We have over 265 identified victims and an infinite number of victims in the state, in the country, and all over the world.”
“As a consequence, by letting live linking and streaming, all people can take part in this procedure.”
