“I thought you said I am lying” Eedris Abdulkareem lashes out at Seyi Law
Nigerian rapper Eedris Abdulkareem has addressed comedian Seyi Law’s recent change of stance regarding his support for President Tinubu during the election.
In a podcast, Eedris claimed that Seyi Law had privately confided in him about regretting his endorsement of President Tinubu.
Just to refresh your memory, Seyi Law was among the few celebrities who actively campaigned for the President during the General Election.
According to Eedris, a year later, Seyi Law expressed remorse over his decision, citing the backlash and financial setbacks he encountered for backing the President during his campaign, including a decrease in earnings from his shows.
In response, Seyi Law took to Twitter to express his fondness for Eedris and refute the allegations.
However, a social media user shared a video of Seyi Law expressing regret for supporting Tinubu at a recent event. In the video, Seyi Law echoed Eedris’ claims about feeling drained by his loyalty to Tinubu and mentioned a decrease in financial support from his fans due to his association with the politician.
He also attributed the challenges faced by the Nigerian national team at the AFCON match to the presence of Vice President Kashim Shettima.
Eedris reacting to the video, called out Seyi Law for trying to paint him as a liar. “I thought you said I was lying @seyilaw1”.
Hitting back, Seyi Law stated that though he respects Abdulkareem the drama is unnecessary, as he stated that Eedris’ lie is a means to pander to his bloated ego and unsolicited activism.
He told him that if care wasn’t taken, he would lose his respect and relevance.
“Baba, I respect you gan, but this oath of unnecessary lie to pander to your over-bloated ego and unsolicited activism go make you lose the respect. This relevance wey you dey find by force sha”.
