Abductors of Nasarawa Commissioner contact family, demand N100m ransom
Abductors of the Nasarawa state Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Yakubu Lawal, have reached out to his family and demanded a ransom of N100 million before he will be released from captivity.
Lawal was taken hostage by the kidnappers in Nasarawa Eggon Local Government Area on Monday, August 15, at 8:45 PM.
His family was contacted by the abductors at 4.30pm on Tuesday August 16th. They stated that they would release the commissioner only if N100 million is paid in ransom.
Since then, the state police confirmed Lawal’s kidnapping and said that they are working to rescue him.
