Abigail Nebechi calls out Nollywood actors for being quick to share news of death
Abigail Nebechi, a Nigerian actress, has voiced her concerns about the tendency of her fellow Nollywood actors to quickly share negative news but neglect to celebrate positive occasions.
Following the announcement of Jnr Pope’s survival, she criticized her colleagues for their lack of enthusiasm in acknowledging others’ birthdays. Nebechi observed that many actors would conveniently overlook or belatedly acknowledge birthdays, and some even choose to ignore them altogether.
She noted that the sense of community among actors seems to resurface only during unfortunate circumstances or tragedies. Nebechi urged her peers to improve their behavior and offered prayers for Jnr Pope’s recovery from the drowning accident.
Sadly, shortly after her statement, the actor passed away following a prolonged struggle to survive.
Abigail Nebechi’s post reads;
“Nollywood people Una Weldon ,so una sabi rush post person death but if na person birthday now will wait till 9pm,10pm even some till d next day.
God will help all of us we see and know them!”
