Nollywood actress Ini Dima-Okojie has just shared some heartbreaking news with her fans regarding her health.
In an emotional video, Ini Dima-Okojie revealed that she has been diagnosed with fibroids for the second time. She recounted her first diagnosis in 2017 and the invasive surgery she underwent to remove the growths in 2020.
Ini Dima-Okojie expressed that sharing the news of her second fibroid diagnosis has been challenging, and she struggled with the decision to go public. However, she found strength in the support she received from women who shared their stories when she first opened up in 2020.
Instead of opting for another surgery, Ini Dima-Okojie plans to take a holistic approach to shrink the fibroid lumps in her body.
Looking ahead, Ini Dima-Okojie announced that she would sponsor twenty women to get fibroid scans. She also plans to start a podcast to discuss various holistic approaches for managing fibroids and welcomes tips from other women suffering from the same condition.
The reason behind her decision to start a podcast is that in 2017, she was unaware of what fibroids were, despite experiencing symptoms.
She said that it was after she shared her symptoms with her sister that she got directions about the type of test to get.
In her caption, Ini Dima-Okojie added;
