Adekunle Gold sends message to men after killing of FUNAAB student
Nigerian singer Adekunle Gold has taken to social media to share a message directed at men in light of the tragic death of FUNAAB student, Idowu Christianah.
As previously reported, Christianah went missing on August 19, 2024, after her abductors contacted her parents using her WhatsApp account.
They sent photos of her in captivity and demanded a ₦1.5 million ransom. Despite agreeing to release her after receiving ₦350,000 following several pleas, the kidnappers did not let her go and ultimately killed her.
It was later discovered that Adeleye Ayomide, a student from Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), was responsible for Christianah’s abduction, murder, and burial on his property.
Additional reports suggest that Ayomide may have been involved in the deaths of his ex-girlfriend in 2018 and his sister in 2020 under similar circumstances.
Following the death of this young lady, Adekunle Gold dropped a message to men on his X account. He wrote:
“Men, true strength is not about staying silent but about standing up to your friends who abuse, rape, or demean women. Let’s redefine masculinity by holding each other accountable.
JusticeforChristianah”.
