Adeniyi Johnson sends heart and prayers to Ooni’s estranged wife, Naomi over Ibadan stampede
Nollywood actress Adeniyi Johnson has extended her heartfelt prayers and support to Naomi Silekunola, the estranged wife of the Ooni of Ife, following the tragic Ibadan stampede.
Earlier this week, reports surfaced that Naomi faced difficulties related to her recent charity initiative. In partnership with Agidigbo 88.7 FM, Ibadan, owned by Oriyomi Hazmat, the mother of the crown prince organized an event to feed the less privileged. Tragically, the event resulted in a stampede that claimed the lives of over 32 children.
Following the incident, Naomi, Hazmat, and the Islamic High School principal, Fasasi Abdulahi, were arrested. On Tuesday, a Chief Magistrate ordered their remand at the Agodi Correctional Facility. The trio faces charges including conspiracy, acceleration of death, negligent acts causing harm, and failure to ensure adequate security and medical provisions.
Sharing his thoughts on Instagram, Adeniyi expressed his unwavering support for Naomi. Highlighting the reputation of the people of Ondo State for their kindness and generosity, he prayed for God to guide her through this challenging time and help her emerge stronger.
“First and foremost, condolences to the family of lost ones; no family deserves this kind of pain at this time or any other. I pray the good lord gives you the fortitude to bear the loss and comfort the family!! Amen
Secondly, My heart and prayers go to @queen_silekunolanaomi_ogunwusi, whose intentions were not to hurt or kill but to give and feed!! This time, too, shall pass, and the God of your good deeds will speak for you, restore you, and bring you back stronger!!!
We, the people of Ondo state, are known for our kindheartedness and generosity, which is clearly your motive for putting the program together. I pray God to see you through this in time and bring you back stronger!! @queen_silekunolanaomi_ogunwusi.
Lastly, I know for a fact that the law must be upheld, but we beseech the authorities in charge to temper justice with mercies and look beyond the tragic incident!
GOD BLESS NIGERIA”.
