Alec Baldwin to resume ‘Rust’ movie production this week
The cast and crew of the movie “Rust”, including actor Alec Baldwin, will return to the set tomorrow. This is more than one year after the death of cinematographer Halyna Hustchins during the same film production.
CNN reported that a spokesperson for the film said they would resume production at Yellowstone Film Ranch, Montana. This ranch was created to honor Halyna’s legacy.
Filming was stopped 18 months ago due to a fatal shooting that injured director Joel Souza and killed cinematographer Halyna Hustchins.
Baldwin was holding a Colt .45 gun during rehearsals for the film in the southwestern state of New Mexico when it discharged, killing Halyna Hutchins. He was charged with manslaughter and has pleaded not guilty. Both Souza and Baldwin will return to the set to finish the film.
