An individual believed to be involved in package theft extracted from a drainage system following the discovery of their hiding place by a drone.
Authorities in the United States successfully employed a drone to discover the whereabouts of a suspected package thief.
The individual had fled on foot after a failed attempt to pilfer a package from a porch, which led to a minor traffic incident, according to a statement by Fayette County police.
By utilizing a drone, law enforcement monitored the suspect’s movements, ultimately tracing him to a storm drain. Reports from local media indicate that a police canine was dispatched down the opening prior to the suspect choosing to surrender.
Following a medical evaluation, he was taken into custody and incarcerated.
