Angela Okorie addresses reports of being evicted from her Lagos house over unpaid rent
Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has dismissed rumors that she was evicted from her Lagos home by her landlord due to unpaid rent.
The speculation arose after popular Instagram blogger Cutie Jullss claimed that Angela was forced out of her rented house for failing to pay rent, allegedly owing up to two years’ worth of rent and avoiding her landlord.
In response, Angela addressed the issue through several posts on her Instagram story, where she refuted the claims. She pointed out that no Lagos landlord would allow a tenant to stay for two years without paying rent. She also mentioned that her belongings were thrown out while she was not present.
“My people, if you live in Lagos, no landlord will allow you to live in his house for 2 years without rent. I wasn’t even around when they did what they did; my boys were already packing out; why are they trying to tell Cutie Juls that they evicted me? The thunder wey go fire you, just wait I dey come Live”.
In another post, she claimed that the industry and her unfriendly friends are trying to use the blogger to defame her.
“Cutie Juls as frat hair full ur pumpum.
You no still get sense, how dare you?
The industry and unfriendly friends have used you for a long time.
I am coming for you big time, make sure you have proof of everything you are saying. Did I ever tell you I bought the house I am living in in Lekki County? I have other houses I bought, I have never told you I bought the house, what is wrong with people”
In another post, she claimed that as of last year, her artist fee was $20,000 as she questioned how she could be living a fake lifestyle.
“As of last year, my artist fee is over 20 thousand dollars. How are my living a fake life? My lifestyle is too expensive, from my outfits to my lifestyle is expensive, and these local champs can’t deal with it. Did I lie about my cars or houses? If I buy a house, I don’t even post; if I buy cars, I don’t post. You just see me using my properties and my stuff. I don’t need anybody’s validation. I don’t tell people what I am doing, I am a private person, but if you carry fight comes, we stand gidigba.
Somebody cannot pack in peace? Na wano Nigerians una no dey try at all.

In a fourth post, she noted how happy some of her colleagues were about the negative news.
“If you see how some of my colleagues are happy with that nonsense those idiots are writing? The more you spend money to bring me down, the more am going higher.
Most times is a free advert, y’all are doing.
