Comedienne Tomama recently spoke out about how some people use philanthropy to cover up their wrongdoings. In an Instagram post, she observed that one of the quickest ways to win favor with Nigerians is through gift-giving.
She expressed that many people engage in charitable acts, making sure they’re filmed so the world can see. Once such gestures are on display, it becomes challenging for others to criticize them, regardless of any past actions.
Tomama further commented that any act of charity involving a camera likely has an ulterior motive.

“You see Nigerians eh, to deceive them & gain their love just pretend to be a Help the poor, do back to back giveaway, help clear some hospital bill, & don’tforget to publicize it while at they never forget to though W) & Boom… you’re loved and you can do no wrong in the poor masses eyes, even if you k’ somebody them go defend you Ps: To me any good when camera don involve gete own agenda”
