Asake responds to fans’ requests to sing his songs in English
Afrobeat star Ahmed Ololade, widely known as Asake, has addressed fans urging him to perform more of his songs in English.
This comes after the release of his highly anticipated third studio album, “Lungu Boy,” which features collaborations with artists like Wizkid, Stormzy, and Travis Scott, among others.
Some fans expressed that they find it difficult to connect with his music because most of the lyrics are in Yoruba.
In response, Asake shared during a recent Instagram Live session that while he is capable of singing in English, he feels more comfortable singing in Yoruba.
However, anyone who chooses to be his fan has to be a fan of his Yoruba lyrics.
