BBNaija star, Maria speaks on allegation of snatching lover, Kelvin, from his wife
Maria Chike Benjamin of Big Brother Naija has said that she did not know that her boyfriend, Kelvin was married when the two started dating.
In a recent interview, she said this to media personality Chude Jideonwo when speaking about the controversy surrounding her marriage with her partner.
Recall that back in 2021, the reality TV star was accused of snatching Kelvin from his wife by Nigerian socialite, Cubana Chiefpriest, who said the victim is his sister.
Maria did not confirm the rumor or refute it until July 2022 when she went into a Twitter frenzy to put an end to the rumor.
She stated that she did not ruin anybody’s home or snatch anybody’s husband, adding that she choose to remain silent about the rumor for the best interest of those involved.
In a recent interview with Chude, Maria, again, maintained that she did not ruin Kelvin’s marriage and that she chose to remain silent about the rumor for the sake of those concerned.
She further revealed that she had no idea that he was married when they first met and started dating.
Her words,
“I wasn’t aware whether or not he was married when we first started dating. What I am going to stand by and that’s the gospel truth is that I didn’t destroy any marriage. I have never and I will never.”
