Breaching whale capsizes boat and sends two people overboard
A whale breaching out of the water has overturned a boat, throwing two people into the sea.
In the video, a humpback whale suddenly emerges before flipping a small 23-foot boat. As the massive creature capsizes the vessel, the two individuals are seen falling into the water.
Colin Yanger, who captured the footage, was on a nearby boat where the crew rescued the people. The US Coast Guard reported that no injuries occurred and has informed both the Center for Coastal Studies Marine Animal Hotline and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration about the incident.
