California airport engulfed by wildfires
Firefighters in El Dorado County, California battled a wildfire encircling an airport amidst a persistent heatwave sweeping across the West Coast.
Fire crews were observed using planes and helicopters to drop water and fire retardant in effort to contain the blaze.
Reports indicate that the record-breaking heatwave, which has already triggered large wildfires in western U.S. states, is expected to persist into next week.
