Chile’s president has announced that forest fires have claimed the lives of at least 46 individuals in the nation.
The mayor of Viña del Mar, a coastal resort town, has additionally reported that over two hundred residents are missing.
According to the Interior Ministry, more than 43,000 hectares across the country have been impacted by the fires.
