Comedian Funny Bone slams Reno Omokri for trolling Peter Obi over Equatorial Guinea s3x saga
Nigerian comedian Funny Bone has criticized politician Reno Omokri for his remarks on the Equatorial Guinea sex scandal.
Earlier reports revealed that Baltasar Ebang Engonga, the Director General of Equatorial Guinea’s National Financial Investigation Agency (ANIF), was found on video engaging in sexual activities with multiple women, including his brother’s wife, cousin, and the sister of Equatorial Guinea’s President.
This scandal surfaced during a fraud investigation, where authorities discovered over 300 recordings of Baltasar with various women, including married individuals, on his computer.
Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi weighed in on the issue, stating that he would not divorce his wife, even if she were unfaithful.
In response, Reno Omokri criticized Obi’s statement, questioning how someone who wouldn’t mind his wife’s infidelity could ensure integrity within government.
Omokri suggested that if a leader doesn’t value his wife’s fidelity, it’s questionable if he would value public funds, making an indirect reference to Obi’s business, Fidelity Bank, asking if public money would be safe under his leadership.
Omokri argued that a president who overlooks his wife’s affairs could foster environments where figures like Baltasar Ebang thrive. “A President who doesn’t care if his wife has affairs will surround himself with people like Baltasar Ebang,” Omokri said, calling Obi’s comment inappropriate and questioning his moral fitness to lead Nigeria, implying he should perhaps move to a country with similar values.
To even say such a thing in public is shameful!”.
Reacting to it, via his comment section, Funny Bone stated that such a comment was beneath Reno as he admonished him to let some things slide.
“Reno!!
This is beneath you.
Too low for your standards.
Too low. Learn to let some things slide.
This one, no enter, bro”.
