Davido fumes as Sophia Momodu mentions late son, Ifeanyi in an affidavit
Afrobeat superstar Davido Adeleke has responded to a statement made by his baby mama, Sophia Momodu, who brought up the death of his son, Ifeanyi, in a counter affidavit.
Sophia submitted a 100-paragraph counter affidavit following Davido’s request for joint custody of their daughter, Imade. In paragraph 76, she mentioned the death of Davido’s son, Ifeanyi Adeleke, due to a domestic accident, which she attributed to negligence. Sophia cited this incident as a reason to keep their daughter away from him.
In his response, Davido criticized her for repeatedly bringing up a painful issue, despite the ongoing grief he and his wife, Chioma, are experiencing. He subtly suggested pausing the custody battle, expressing that one day, their daughter would understand that he fought to be a part of her life.
Taking to his X account, OBO as fondly called by fans emphasized how much he loves his daughter, Imade.
“Your constantly bringing up the death of my child at any point u can to just remind us of this tragedy that haunts us everyday of our lives .. Imade will grow up to see I fought for her .. as for now u can have her .. P.S she won’t be a child forever .. enjoy Imade Aurora Adeleke ! Your father loves you!” he wrote.
