Dayo Amusa speaks out amid Funke Akindele’s clash with Late Jumoke’s brother
Nollywood actress Dayo Amusa appears to have commented on the recent conflict involving her colleague Funke Akindele and the brother of the late actress Jumoke Aderounmu.
The internet has been abuzz with discussions since Adeola Aderounmu publicly criticized the movie star for what he perceived as insincerity towards his deceased sister. He accused the renowned actress of neglecting Jumoke during her illness and now pretending to care.
In what appears to be a response to the unfolding drama, Dayo Amusa expressed her belief that everyone faces their own inner struggles and challenges.
She emphasized that before anyone invokes the adage “A friend in need is a friend indeed,” they should consider the possibility that their friend might also be in need.
She argued against the notion that unawareness of others’ situations justifies feeling entitled to their support. Dayo highlighted how everyone grapples with personal challenges, often hidden behind masks.
Dayo urged the public to broaden their perspective and let love guide their thoughts and actions.
“We all have our inner battles and challenges.
Before you go on about how a friend in need is a friend indeed, Please pause to consider the possibility of your friend also being in need.
That you are not aware of their situation and needs is not justification for you to feel entitled to their support. We all have our challenges in life even if it doesn’t make it to SM. Some of us are so good at wearing masks covering our struggles. We can do better as humans.
I understand HUMANITY is of high importance but if it’s not happening when expected doesn’t make your friend a mean person. He that wears the shoes knows where it’s hurting
It’s time we thought outside of ourselves and allowed love to lead our thoughts and actions. It’s time we reconsidered the cancel culture and let go of any sense of entitlement
We are the architects of our own individual lives No one owes you anything”.
