“D’banj is the only Nigerian man that has given me free money” – Toke Makinwa reveals
Media personality Toke Makinwa has revealed that music icon D’banj is the only Nigerian man who has ever given her money without expecting anything in return.
In a widely shared video on social media, the renowned on-air personality recounted her first meeting with D’banj and how confident he was in her from the beginning.
She explained that years later, when she was launching her career, D’banj showed his unwavering support. At her book launch, he pledged ₦10 million, which he promptly paid the next morning at 8 a.m.
Toke emphasized that D’banj remains the only Nigerian man to have given her money without any strings attached, calling him her “major guy.”
