Veteran Nollywood actress Idowu Philips, fondly known as Mama Rainbow, has expressed heartfelt gratitude to God in an open letter following her 82nd birthday.
The vibrant actress thanked God for His unwavering love and faithfulness throughout her life. As one of Nollywood’s oldest living legends, Mama Rainbow humbly praised God for His guidance and support.
She shared a video on her Instagram page showcasing her youthful energy, accompanied by the heartfelt letter.
In her message, she expressed gratitude for the grace, mercy, and life that have sustained her from birth through life’s challenges and victories. She also acknowledged God’s constant presence, strength in times of weakness, and the faithfulness and protection that have carried her through the years.
“An Open Letter to God
Dear Heavenly Father,
I come before You with a heart full of gratitude and humility. Thank You for saving my life and guiding me through every moment since 1942 until this very day. Your grace, love, and mercy have sustained me through every trial and triumph.
Thank You, Father, for Your unwavering presence, for lifting me when I was weak, and for blessing me with the strength to keep moving forward. I am forever grateful for Your protection and faithfulness.
With all my heart, I say thank You, Lord,” Mama Rainbow wrote on Instagram.
