Nollywood actress Debbie Shokoya has voiced her frustration with colleagues who release low-quality and subpar movies on YouTube.
Her concerns follow increasing criticism of Nollywood films, particularly Yoruba movies, featured on the platform.
In an Instagram post, the new mother expressed disappointment with filmmakers who focus solely on quantity over quality in their productions.
She highlighted the growing condemnation of Yoruba films and shared how she has personally witnessed the issues being raised. Debbie urged her fellow filmmakers to change the negative perception of the Yoruba film industry by ensuring every department in a production is allowed to do its job properly.
She emphasized the importance of each crew member performing their designated roles effectively for the success of a film.
