Desmond Elliots re-elected as Lagos lawmaker
Nigerian movie director and politician Desmond Elliot was re-elected lawmaker for the Surulere 1 constituency of the Lagos house of assembly.
The All Progressives Congress candidate polled 17,837 votes to defeat his closest rival, Adebayo Bode of the Labour Party who polled 7,822 votes.
This would mark Desmond Elliot’s third term at the Lagos state house.
