Deyemi Okanlawon mourns as he shares last chat with late Aderounmu Adejumoke
Renowned actor Deyemi Okanlawon advises individuals to maintain regular contact with their loved ones, drawing from his recent exchange with the late actress, Aderounmu Adejumoke.
Adejumoke, best known for her role as “Esther” in the popular comedy series Jenifa’s Diary, passed away at the age of 37, prompting an outpouring of condolences from fans, celebrities, and acquaintances.
Deyemi recounted his last conversation with the actress, which occurred just last year when he reached out to inquire about her well-being.
Reflecting on the fragility of life and the swiftness with which time can elapse unnoticed, the actor emphasized the importance of seizing the moment to connect with loved ones. He encouraged people to prioritize communication by picking up the phone and reaching out to those who matter most.
Deyemi wrote …
“Death brings everything into perspective often times helping us see how trivial some of the things we concern ourselves with are. Jumoke I am so so sorry, I thought we had all the time in the world and really should have just called. Goodbye my dear friend…. we will continue the conversations in a better place!
Pls pick up the phone and call someone you love today…”
