“Did she come out for the protest ?” – Naysayers blows hot following Destiny Etiko hardship post
Nollywood actress Destiny Etiko recently faced significant criticism for her remarks about the country’s economic struggles.
In an Instagram post, she expressed her frustration, highlighting that the price of fuel has risen to ₦1,200 per litre, making daily life challenging.
The actress mentioned that she had hoped the nationwide protest on August 1st would bring about change, but so far, no improvements have been seen.
She wrote:
“Fuel is now #1200 What is going on BIKONU I Honestly thought the protest was going to help salvage this economic hardship in this country It’s becoming too hard for a Normal Layman to eat three square meal Niger which way.”

Her comment although harmless enraged a lot of Nigerians who took to her comment section to blast her. Recall that Nigerians embarked on an end bad government protest which lasted for a week and only but a few celebrities joined in the protest.
