“Divorce is not a sign of failure but a celebration of bravery and freedom” – Actor Uche Maduagwu calls for divorce parties and anniversaries
Prominent Nollywood actor, Uche Maduagwu, has encouraged Nigerians to embrace the idea of celebrating divorce. In a post on his Instagram page, Uche emphasized that individuals who refrain from marking their divorce are neglecting to acknowledge God’s grace in liberating them from an unhealthy relationship.
He highlighted the plight of countless individuals stuck in unhappy marriages, unable to extricate themselves from the turmoil. Therefore, he argued that if one is fortunate enough to break free from a detrimental marital situation, it should be a cause for celebration.
Expanding on his perspective, he clarified that divorce should not be viewed as a symbol of failure but rather as a celebration of courage and the reclamation of personal freedom.
The controversial actor wrote,
“People who don’t celebrate their #Divorce Anniversaries are being ungrateful to God because so many people are still in Bad and unhappy #Marriages that they are unable to walk out of, so if you are lucky enough to walk out of a #Marriage that does not bring out the #BEST in you, please CELEBRATE, it takes a special GRACE from God to achieve that Freedom”
