DJ Cuppy becomes first Nigerian to host youth session at UNGA
Renowned disc jockey DJ Cuppy has made history as the first Nigerian to host an opening session at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). She moderated the Youth Action Day at the 2024 UNGA, which centered around the theme “The Summit of the Future – Youth Actions Day.”
In addition to moderating, DJ Cuppy, daughter of Nigerian billionaire Femi Otedola, gave a musical performance after delivering her keynote speech.
Her session saw the largest youth gathering ever held at the UN Headquarters.
“Hardly home but always REPPIN Rehearsals help me STAY READY because preparation MEETS opportunity FOR REAL. My dreams are fueled by faith, hard work, and my purpose truly know NO limits. #UNGA,” she captioned the post.
Notable figures present at the event included the UN Assistant Secretary-General for Youth Affairs and the President of Cape Verde, José Maria Neves.
