Drama as Dayo Amusa calls out Eniola Ajao, and others over Bobrisky’s win at Ajakaju movie premiere
Nollywood star Dayo Amusa has responded to the outcome of the recent movie premiere of Eniola Ajao’s Ajakaju, where the renowned Nigerian crossdresser Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, emerged as the winner for the best-dressed category, causing a stir among attendees.
Upon Bobrisky’s unexpected announcement as the best dressed, reactions varied, with many, including acclaimed actress Toyin Abraham, expressing surprise and disbelief.
Despite the astonishment, Bobrisky walked away with a prize of one million naira, leaving other female celebrities visibly astonished.
In response to the development, Dayo Amusa shared a video conveying her discontent with what she perceived as a disregard for the female participants at the premiere.
She criticized the judges and organizers, asserting that designating a crossdresser as the best-dressed female was inappropriate. Amusa suggested the need for a separate category to acknowledge crossdressers’ contributions.
Despite her critique, Amusa concluded the video on a conciliatory note, assuring her followers that her intent was merely to express her viewpoint without harboring any ill feelings towards others.
The comments section on Dayo Amusa’s post is ablaze with reactions, with many expressing solidarity with her stance, while others speculate that Bobrisky’s win might have been a publicity stunt aimed at promoting the movie.
