Etim Effiong opens up to his wife about how he handles female admirers
Nollywood actor Etim Effiong has shared insights with his wife, Toyosi, about setting boundaries and handling the many female admirers in his life.
As they celebrated their 7th wedding anniversary, the couple revisited a conversation from seven years ago, reflecting on the challenges they’ve faced and their personal growth as partners.
Toyosi posed a familiar but pointed question: “Do you have measures in place to protect yourself from the wildness and craziness?”
Etim responded thoughtfully, discussing how he has grown over the years in navigating such situations with maturity.
“The simple answer to the question is I have measures in place, and I have always had measures in place. I guess the toolbox is getting better measures as I grow,” he said.
The actor highlighted the importance of boundaries and self-awareness in dealing with his “saviour complex.”
He explained, “I’ve learned to have boundaries in place and how to deal with my saviour complex. I cannot be there to save everyone who needs help; I cannot be their emotional support, the love of their lives, and their saviour. As I grow older, I have been able to handle this.”
His wife could be seen basking in the joy of the sweet words from her husband, as he candidly assured her.
