Falz breaks silence amid nationwide protests
Nigerian singer and rapper Falz has finally addressed the ongoing nationwide protests against bad governance.
As of August 1st, Nigerians have initiated a nationwide protest to demand an end to bad governance, and today marks the second day of the demonstration.
Falz, known for his strong activism against bad governance, expressed his dismay on the microblogging platform X. He criticized President Tinubu for ignoring the protests and questioned how long the president intends to pressure the masses before the situation deteriorates further.
His words: “Genuinely don’t know why it’s so difficult to be humane. They say make you leave am, you no gree. Say na your birthright. You can’t now turn a deaf ear. You tried to make it look like the protests were “politically motivated”. Shebi una don see now? How long do you think you can keep on pushing the people back before it blows up in your face ?”
It is worth noting that Afrobeat award-winning singer Burna Boy handed over the title of “African Giant” to Falz recently after dissociating himself from the nationwide protest for being canceled by Nigerians in 2020.
