Fans pay tribute to Dagrin at burial ground 14 years after death
Devoted fans of the late Nigerian rapper Oladapo Olaitan Olaonipekun, widely known as Dagrin, visit his grave to commemorate him 14 years after his untimely death.
Before his passing, Dagrin was regarded as one of Nigeria’s greatest rappers and is celebrated for pioneering indigenous rap in the country.
He was known for his unique style of rapping in Yoruba, English, and Pidgin English. Some of his most popular songs include “Pon Pon Pon” and “Kondo.”
He died on April 22, 2010, at the age of 25, after a car accident.
