Fans slam Saidi Balogun as he laments over the current state of the country; he reacts
Fans of Nollywood actor Saidi Balogun have criticized him for speaking out about the current state of affairs in the country.
Saidi Balogun recently expressed his concerns about the economic hardship and the overall situation in Nigeria. The Yoruba actor questioned the existence of functional price control or regulatory agencies in the country and asked how they could mitigate the effects of inflation.
He highlighted that things are becoming increasingly unmanageable.
His comments did not go over well with many of his fans, who pointed out that he had supported the President during the campaign.
One Justice Oso questioned if the economic hardship got to his side, too, as he stated that he thought the masses were the only ones suffering.
“Waoooo he don reach una side too? I think say na only we the masses the thing dey affect o”.
Replying to him, Saidi made him know that the rain falls on everyone regardless of status. He stated that because he has an umbrella does not mean he doesn’t see the effect of the rain.
He wrote, “The rain falls on everyone, sir, regardless of status. Because I probably have an umbrella does not mean I don’t see the effect of the rain”.
Another fan had questioned if the actor truly cared about the state of things in the country. He wrote, “As if he cares”.
He made the fan know that he cared, but he knew the fan didn’t know that because he already had such a mindset. He hopes God answers his prayers.
“Of course, I care. But you would never know that because you already have your mindset. May God answer our prayers”.
