Funke Akindele, a Nollywood actress who has won numerous awards, beat her award-winning colleague, Toyin Abraham, with a landmark in Nollywood projects.
Top Charts released a chart that revealed the incomes of Nollywood producers over the last few years. The chart captured the likes of Mo Abudu, Ayo Makun, Jade Osiberu, Funke Akindele, and Toyin Abraham, netting millions of naira.
On the chart, Funke Akindele earned over one billion Naira (1.33bn), and Toyin Abraham made 564 million from her films.
It’s not surprising that Funke, the top-grossing Nollywood star in Nigeria with her movie Battle on Buka Street grossing more than 640 million Naira, is leading the way.
