In a new survey from LinkedIn, 46 percent of workers say they wouldn’t feel confident describing their career achievements, even if they encountered their dream employer on the street.
Why? Because discussing your accomplishments sounds an awful lot like bragging, according to the survey respondents.
But if you can’t talk about yourself, you’ll never build your professional brand and climb the corporate ladder, says LinkedIn career expert Catherine Fisher.
That’s not to say you need to become a walking, talking résumé. Learn how to brag without boasting during interviews and you’ll land the jobs you deserve.
