Nigerian singer, rapper, actor, entrepreneur, and politician Olubankole Wellington, widely recognized as Banky W, recently disclosed details about his initial encounter with Wizkid in a previously unreleased video.
Contrary to popular belief that their connection stemmed from a tweet on social media, Banky W emphasized that he first encountered the now-renowned singer Wizkid while he was actively engaged in his craft.
According to Banky W, he had been collaborating with Wizkid for approximately a year before a tweet by the latter gained attention on social media platforms, sparking misconceptions that their association originated from online interactions.
Furthermore, Banky W explained that, while he was exploring the music of unsigned artists, he came across Wizkid’s song.
Revealing Wizkid’s role before they met, he mentioned that Wizkid worked as a hype man for a singer named Kel.
