“I struggled with pornography for years’ – Spyro
Oludipe Oluwasanmi David, known by his stage name Spyro, openly admitted to grappling with a long-standing addiction to pornography. Spyro revealed this personal struggle in a recent interview with Echoo Room.
Despite rumors suggesting that he criticizes his peers for their lifestyle choices, he clarified that his objective isn’t to promote religious ideals within the secular music industry. Nonetheless, as the artist behind “Who’s Your Guy,” Spyro emphasized that musicians can still thrive by creating and sharing excellent music.
He stated, “I battled with a pornography addiction for an extended period. I’m not claiming to be a saint; I’ve faced these challenges. I’m here with you all, not professing to be holier than thou. We’re all imperfect humans.
“I’m not here to preach that one must be saintly. I’m just acknowledging that to the best of our abilities…”
This disclosure from Spyro comes after he recently sparked controversy after he insinuated in a podcast interview that colleague, Shallipopi’s music inspires fraudsters.
