“I want to help, sacrifice for society” – Yomi Fabiyi brags as he sneaks into safety
Nollywood producer and actor Yomi Fabiyi boasted about his achievements while seeking refuge in an undisclosed location. This comes after the actor recently expressed fears for his safety, citing alleged threats to his life following his outspokenness on the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s death.
Fabiyi reflected on his career, emphasizing that he creates movies not only to entertain but also to sustain himself, build a lasting legacy, and enjoy his life. He also shared his passion for justice, truth, and human rights, which he views as part of his effort to contribute to society.
He wrote, “When I make films, I aim to entertain, provide for myself, build a legacy, and enjoy life. This brings many friends and admirers. But when I fight for justice, truth, and human rights, I do so to help society, build a legacy, and endure hardships, though it often comes with few or no friends.”
I choose the latter. It is the path I wish to follow going forward, I want to give back to society. I still have huge consideration for the former, too.
