“I’m not an activist but a social media police” — VeryDarkMan clarifies
Outspoken critic Verydarkman, known for challenging unfair practices, has clarified his role in response to growing public discussions labeling him an “activist.”
In a recent online video, Verydarkman appeared wearing a police-style uniform with a customized “VDM” tag, explaining that his mission resembles that of the Nigeria Police Force—albeit in an online capacity—rather than traditional activism.
He described himself as an “online police” dedicated to tackling various forms of oppression, particularly in cases involving vendors and individuals accused of exploitative practices.
Verydarkman stressed that his actions are guided by evidence alone, noting that he only addresses cases with sufficient proof. This evidence-based approach, he explained, is crucial to ensuring fairness and transparency.
“CSP VDM of the online division also shoutout to the Nigeria Police Force for their tireless efforts in fighting corruption in Nigeria, and I implore others to join hands together in making Nigeria a better place,” he captioned the post.
