Israel DMW tackles Nigerians mocking Davido over failing to win a Grammy Award
Israel DMW, the logistics manager for Nigerian artist Davido, has criticized individuals who are ridiculing his boss for not winning a Grammy Award.
It’s widely known that Davido lost all three of his Grammy nominations, along with other Nigerian artists who were nominated, and some Nigerians have been mocking him relentlessly because of it.
Despite Davido’s losses, Israel DMW, who spoke highly of his boss even after the defeat, has condemned those trolling the singer.
He argues that anyone making fun of Davido is essentially ridiculing themselves, pointing out that Davido’s name still garnered significant publicity despite not winning.
Israel DMW advised trolls to consider their own lives twenty years from now and whether they could ever achieve the same level of success as the Afrobeat star.
In his view, previous Grammy winners may not have truly deserved the award either.
His words: “You’re completely mocking urself, if you think you’re mocking oga, in an already well programmed event, where oga’s name had to even been used to be used as publicity. Look at ur life in the nest 20 years, if you’ will be better than oga, in any way. Look at the life of some past awardee, if they ever merited it.”
