“It is sad and disappointing” Peter Okoye cries out as he exposes Nigerian banks
Nigerian artist Peter Okoye, also recognized by his stage name Mr P, is continuing his critique of Nigerian banks without any signs of stopping.
Over the past couple of days, the partner of the well-known music duo Psquare has been openly criticizing financial establishments for permitting online fraudsters to deceive individuals by misusing their identity.
It’s worth recollecting that Mr. P manages a lottery initiative that cybercriminals have exploited to defraud individuals by impersonating him.
Using his Instagram platform, Peter has directed his criticism at GT Bank. He posted screenshots of accounts under his name, highlighting his frustration and disappointment regarding the lack of reliability and trustworthiness exhibited by our financial institutions.
He has raised questions about the significance of the BVN (Bank Verification Number) and NIN (National Identification Number) systems, considering the ease with which people can create accounts using others’ identities.
“EXPOSED!!
Even @gtbank also has a customer that is scamming people under the name “PETER OKOYE PSQUARE”.
It is sad and disappointing that our financial institutions are not reliable and cannot be trusted. What is BVN & NINs used for in the first place?
Naija we are in big trouble”.
