“I’ve never had friends, I’m a loner” – Terry G on his relationship with colleagues
Nigerian artist Terry G has revealed that he experienced a solitary upbringing and has never formed close friendships, whether in real life or within the music industry.
The “Akpako Master” clarified that he lacks intimate connections with his colleagues, attributing this partly to his personality.
He emphasized that throughout his life, he has always been solitary, describing himself as a loner.
During a recent episode of The Honest Bunch Podcast, Terry G shared, “I’ve never really had friends, not only within the music industry but in my entire life. I tend to keep to myself.”
“I mostly spend my time in the studio. I interact with business associates, and individuals I engage with for business purposes. I’m not one for socializing.”
“Truthfully, I consider my child to be my closest companion. Apart from that, my relationships are primarily transactional.”
“Though I did have some close connections with colleagues like Timaya in the past, we’ve drifted apart over time. It’s not due to any particular incident; we simply grew apart.”
“We still communicate over the phone, but there’s a difference between phone conversations and genuine physical interaction. However, whenever we cross paths, we exchange pleasantries.”
“My relationship with Illbliss is very cool, we had issues back then but we later settled.”
