Veteran actress Iya Awero has opened up about the challenges she encountered in her acting career, including a harrowing incident where two of her children nearly died on a movie set.

Iya Awero revealed that her profession has brought significant hardships, affecting both her marriage and her children.

In an interview broadcast on Doyin Kukoyi TV’s official YouTube channel, she recounted being on a movie set with her two children when an unexpected and dangerous situation occurred.

In her statement, she said, “I suffered a lot as an actress, two of my children suddenly died while I was on a movie set.

“It was really a surprise to me, and I was disturbed to the extent that I didn’t know how to get out of that situation.

“I later went to meet some of the legendary actors, including Adebayo Salami, who went to meet my husband to plead on my behalf.”
