Iyabo Ojo laments following teargas thrown at protestors at the nationwide protest
Actress Iyabo Ojo has expressed her distress over the use of teargas on protestors during the ongoing End Bad Governance protests in Nigeria.
On August 1, 2024, numerous Nigerians protested against famine, poor governance, and other issues nationwide.
Following the start of the protest, videos began circulating online. Iyabo Ojo shared a video from Galaxy TV on her official Instagram profile, showing protestors being mistreated.
The video appeared to show teargas being deployed at the demonstration grounds, with a voice behind the camera claiming that shots were fired despite the protestors being unarmed.
Iyabo Ojo took to the post’s caption to share her thoughts about the situation. She wrote:
