Iyabo Ojo rain curses amidst backlash trailing birthday wish to Mohbad’s mother
Following criticism following her post advocating for women to pray for a mother-in-law like Mohbad’s mother, renowned Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo confronted the backlash head-on.
Taking to her social media platform, Iyabo Ojo celebrated the 50th birthday of Mr. Joseph Aloba’s former spouse, offering heartfelt prayers. However, her suggestion that women should aspire to have a mother-in-law akin to Mohbad’s mother garnered negative reactions, with many expressing similar desires for her daughter, Priscilla.
In response to the comments during a live session, Iyabo Ojo lashed out at her detractors, condemning their rudeness and lack of manners.
Additionally, she defended Mohbad’s mother’s actions, suggesting that her prolonged absence from her children was due to enduring significant hardships at the hands of Mr. Joseph Aloba.
“What is your concern with my post? Are you all suffering from absent parents? Do you know what she faced in the marriage before abandoning her children for ten years? You lots are unfortunate fools.
“Are you crazy? All of you cursing that woman will be affected by that curse and your home generations. Most of your mothers are worthless and can’t even be showed off,” she said partly in the Yoruba language.
