Jaywon, who faced heavy online criticism after appearing to make a subtle dig at Ayra Starr, posted an apology on X (formerly Twitter). In his message, he expressed regret for his comments and clarified that he is an avid fan of her music.
He praised Ayra Starr’s exceptional vocal talent, calling her one of Africa’s most gifted female vocalists.
His tweet reads,”If you see Ayra Starr, tell her I’m sorry she wasn’t nominated for this year’s Grammys. I’m a huge fan of her music, and I believe she’s one of the best female vocalists Africa has”.
