Jemima Osunde on the state of governance in Nigeria, following the Edo State gubernatorial elections
Nollywood actress Jemima Osunde recently expressed her concerns about governance in Nigeria following the Edo State gubernatorial elections.
In her post, Osunde noted that social media activism and hashtag campaigns for better governance have proven ineffective.
She also referenced the nationwide protests held a few months ago to reduce fuel prices, pointing out that street protests did not bring about the desired change.
Furthermore, Osunde highlighted that despite Nigerians obtaining their voter cards and turning out to vote for their preferred candidates, it made no significant difference.
Closing her tweet, Jemima Osunde pondered on what would make a difference in Nigeria, and she also asked what would help make Nigeria a better place.
Jemima Osunde’s tweet seemed to resonate with a lot of people, as they gave a nod of approval, while proceeding to add their own input.
