‘John Wick star, Lance Reddick is dead
Lance Reddick, a Hollywood actor who rose to fame after appearing in HBO’s “The Wire”, and the “John Wick,” movies, has died.
Lance’s body was found at his Studio City residence on Friday morning, March 18, at 9:30 AM. The cause of his death is not yet known, but police believe it to be natural.
According to reports, he was on a press tour for the fourth installment in the John Wick franchise. He plays Charon. He was to appear on Kelly Clarkson’s next week’s show.
Lance is best remembered for his role as Cedrick Daniels, a fictional Baltimore Police Department officer on HBO’s hit series “The Wire”. His character was featured in five of the five seasons.
He also had recurring roles on a bunch of popular TV shows including “Fringe,” “Bosch,” “Oz” and “Lost.” He was also featured in “Angel Has Fallen” and “Godzilla Vs. Kong.”
Lance has some unreleased projects in the works, he plays the Greek god Zeus in the upcoming Disney+ series, “Percy Jackson and the Olympians.”
Born and raised in Baltimore, Lance earned a music degree from the University of Rochester and he got his MFA from Yale. Lance was 60.
