Mary Njoku, Bolanle Ninalowo react to the death of movie director, Dimeji Ajibola
The Nollywood community is once again mourning the untimely loss of renowned movie director Dimeji Ajibola.
Reports confirm that Ajibola passed away in the early hours of November 3rd, following a battle with an undisclosed illness.
Celebrated as a creative visionary, Ajibola was known for his innovative approach, seamlessly integrating traditional and digital art forms across film, animation, VFX, virtual worlds, and interactive media.
Ajibola’s extensive educational background included filmmaking and cinematography training at the New York Film Academy in Universal Studios, advanced character animation at Animation Mentor in San Francisco, and visual effects at VFXLearning.
He was the creative mind behind the 2012 urban musical film Hoodrush, which garnered multiple awards, including Best Movie at the 2012 Green Me Film Festival in Germany, Best Actor and Soundtrack at the Nollywood Movies Awards, and Best Supporting Actor at the AMAA Awards.
