Mix reactions as Ibrahim Chatta threatens to arrest staff for injuring his horse
Nollywood actor Ibrahim Chatta has sparked controversy online after threatening to arrest one of his staff members for injuring his horse.
In a viral clip filmed at his film village in Oyo State, the actor revealed that he had dismissed this staff member twice before, only to rehire him due to his mother’s pleas. The staff member had reportedly stabbed Chatta’s pregnant horse while trying to capture it, despite the horse being known for its obedience and gentleness.
Calling it an act of animal cruelty, Chatta threatened to have the staff member arrested unless social media users intervened.
In the video, the remorseful staff member, seen kneeling and restrained by two men, begged for forgiveness. He cited his status as fatherless and his dependence on his mother as reasons for leniency.
“This is a sin against God. This is a very gentle horse, and I believe she is pregnant. She is very gentle and does not resist. But one of my foolish workers stabbed her; I have instructed people to hold him,” Chatta said.
This is animal cruelty. If people on social media say I should leave you and you shouldn’t go to police station, I would let you go”, Ibrahim Chatta said in the video.
