Mr Latin, Faithia Williams, others mourn the death of Veteran Yoruba actor, Mudashiru Olabiyi
Veteran actor and TAMPAN president, Mr. Latin, has announced the passing of his colleague, Mudashiru Olabiyi.
Sharing the sad news on his official Instagram page last night, he revealed that the veteran actor passed away on October 16, 2024.
Mr. Latin described Olabiyi’s death as a significant loss to the industry, noting that his dedication, leadership, and contributions had left a lasting impact on their organization.
He encouraged the public to keep Olabiyi’s family in their thoughts during this challenging time and urged them to offer their support and strength.
“It is with a heavy heart that I inform you of the passing of our esteemed National Secretary, Alhaji Mudashiru Olabiyi, who departed from us today, 16th of October, 2024. This is a tremendous loss not only to our association but also to the entire creative community. His dedication, leadership, and contributions have left an indelible mark on our organization, and his absence will be deeply felt.
During this difficult time, I encourage all to keep His family in their thoughts and prayers. Let us come together as a community to offer our support and strength to one another.
May he rest in perfect peace”.

Olabiyi would add to the list of Yoruba actors who have died this year. Early this year, Sisi Quadri passed away after he was rushed to the hospital in his hometown of Iwo, Osun State, after suffering persistent hiccups that were caused by kidney-related issues.
